python3-distupgrade software package provides manage release upgrades, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-distupgrade
python3-distupgrade is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-distupgrade package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-distupgrade *
You will get with python3-distupgrade package name, version, architecture and description in a table
